Linda, female, 59 years old

Patient presented with knee pain, stiffness, and limited Range of motion. She was unable to walk for long time and experienced knee pain when climbing stairs. She also reported morning stiffness in her hands, hand deformities, and enlargement. Other small joints were also painful. She has a history of these symptoms for 5-6 years and also experiences back pain. Her symptoms worsen in cold weather.

The traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis was Qi stagnation, cold coagulation, and blood stasis. The treatment principle was to warm the meridians, dispel cold, activate blood circulation, and dredge collaterals.

After two months of traditional Chinese medicine treatment, her symptoms essentially disappeared.
