Justin Liu is a Registered Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario.

Justin grew up inspired by his multi-generational family members who are Traditional Chinese Medicine doctors in China with decades of expertise in Acupuncture and Herbal medicine.

Dysmenorrhea

Dysmenorrhea, the most common gynecological disease, seriously affects women's lives and work; however, there has no effective treatment. Chinese herbal medicine has been widely used for relieving dysmenorrheic in patients.

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a chronic inflammatory bowel disorder characterized by relapsing and remitting inflammation of the bowel. Traditional Chinese Medicine has been widely used in the therapy of UC in recent decades. People with ulcerative colitis may look to Chinese medicine and herbs when they feel that standard Western medical treatments aren’t working well or have too many side effects. 

Symptoms include abdominal pain and cramping, stool urgency, rectal bleeding, and blood in stools.

The types of constipation are many, not only is the dry stool, but also includes no feeling of defecation, or difficulty in defecation, generally defecating once every 2-3 days can be defined as constipation.

Constipation not only causes physical discomfort, but may also induce diseases such as colorectal cancer. The advantage of traditional Chinese medicine treatment is that it adjusts the functions of organs such as the lungs, spleen, and liver to restore the function of the intestines.

Traditional Chinese medicine recognises that insomnia stems from a fundamental imbalance of energy it can also be the symptom of a larger health issue.

Insomnia includes difficulty falling asleep, light sleep, or difficulty falling back asleep after waking up. According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, the main cause of insomnia is Yin and Yang not balance.
